PARTNER

Joseph F. Comenzo, Esq.

Attorney Comenzo is an experienced litigator and founding partner at Upper Charles Law Group who has handled numerous high-profile criminal and civil matters in both State and Federal courts in Massachusetts and beyond.

In law school, Attorney Comenzo first distinguished himself as an oral advocate, winning trial advocacy, appellate advocacy, and negotiation competitions, and earning the award for Best Advocate in New England in the American College of Trial Lawyers’ National Trial Competition.

Following law school, Attorney Comenzo spent several years at a boutique civil litigation firm in Boston where he handled complex civil litigation matters and product liability cases.  Hungry for more time in the courtroom, Attorney Comenzo left the law firm life and soon found himself working with esteemed criminal defense attorney, Marty Leppo.  For several years, Attorney Comenzo worked out of Marty Leppo’s office in Brockton where he maintained a small solo practice, but also assisted Attorney Leppo with his national criminal defense practice.  From there, Attorney Comenzo left to focus on his solo practice where he handled all forms of litigation matters, including criminal defense, divorce and family law, personal injury, civil rights, and general civil litigation.

Before law school, Attorney Comenzo studied English Literature at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut.  And after college, he spent several years working on the floor of the Boston Stock Exchange.  He lives presently in Needham with his lovely wife, three wonderful children, and their lazy Bernese Mountain dog, Gus, whom you will find most days sleeping next to Attorney Comenzo’s desk at the Upper Charles Law Group.
